My clients’ Baldock garden in Hertfordshire suffers from overlooking neighbours at the back of the garden. Being in view from neighbouring eye-lines from your own kitchen, can be frustrating at times.
I’m currently designing a garden retreat for the back of the garden. Placing screens and garden trees to help mask the overlooking neighbours.
A garden designer’s job is to consider your garden from all aspects. When carrying out a site survey the eye-lines from neighbouring gardens is noted. As overlooking neighbours impacts on the design process right from the off.
In this garden design, I am deploying evergreen trees and willow screening on stilts to help mask eye-lines. Planting is simple, evergreen and low maintenance. The garden retreat has an open and contemporary feel and features a corten steel water bowl.
