Another first to celebrate at JtG HQ this week is my first order. It is very exciting and so rewarding to be selling plants that I have grown from seeds and cuttings. I have grown more than I initially envisaged (of course) and so the greenhouse was bulging at the seams, I needed additional space and fast. I smartly invested in a cloche and I have to say, it has saved the day.. had I left my plants outside they would have drowned in the deluge over the past two weeks.

The young plants sold in this sale were Cerinthe major ‘Purpurascens’ (Honeywort), Calendula officinalis and Lathyrus odoratus ‘Spencer Series Tall Mixed’ (Sweet Peas). My lovely client received them with a big smile on her face, but I think mine was even broader, a great moment in my professional development and a proud moment on a personal level. There is so much joy and reward to be had with this enterprise and if you have a yin to follow your dreams, I can only recommend it, I did by realising that my passion could become my profession.
