I love the small garden right in the heart of the village of Ashwell. My partner and I first visited in June this year and fell in love with the old English village charm about it. I remember being delighted by the Hollyhocks (Alcea rosea) that held their beautiful blooms high on 7ft stems in amongst the pavements and alleyways.
I always get so inspired whilst out and about visiting gardens and watching nature either on foot or wheels. There’s always so much to see. I hope you enjoy my photographs.
Happy gardening!
This garden is a gem – and it’s a community garden too, with public access. I wonder how many others are planted and kept with as much love as this one.
Hi Simon, there are lots of villages around the UK that tend to their community gardens with selfless passion and great gardening knowledge. Reflecting the Great British passion for gardening!
