A beautiful herbaceous perennial returning year after year bearing spires of small snap dragon-like flower heads. Once the flowers are finished very fine seed is produced that you can either collect or let the winds scatter around your garden to delight you with new flowering locations the following year.

I also have the pink variety Linaria purpurea ‘Canon J. Went’ in the home garden which are beautifully delicate and look wonderful planted with purples and greens. There is a white form that I currently have a hankering for, named ‘Springtime White’.. I shall be hunting this plant down imminently. All make wonderful plants in a sunny position in an informal setting in beds or gravel gardens. Their tall elegance really bring the interest of slender height to the garden and bees absolutely love them!
