I am currently working on developing the Dingly Dell in my own garden in North-East London, initially pulled together about 5 years ago and now needs updating. I want to put new plants around the parimeter to add further depth and richness to the screening with mixed seasonal interest planting. My plants list includes this delight for its beautiful bronzed purple berries that come into their own during the Autumn months. These purple fruit jewels will add such a delicate vibrancy to my ‘dingly dell’ and will also help bring more birds into the garden, which I shall watch from my seated retreat within.
